As well. Don't think temp above freezing long enough to thaw out the roads enough.

They closed in North LA today simply due to low temps. They didn't get any precipitation above Columbia and closed schools. I bet they don't get a spring break this year.

I think you're right. I just don't want LSU to take Mardi Gras away

Yea, my kids school let us know at 7:15 yesterday morning that they were shutting her down because it was cold outside. Great for them, tough for the 2 us's headed out the door going to work.

They say it's because some kids don't have winter coats and the busses are cold. Then they said Homeland Security made them close. Meanwhile East/West Carroll parishes are open and they're the poorest in the state. Lincoln, 10 miles away is open. Zero sense.

Built the boxes for them in my warehouse (heated) yesterday since I didn't have shite to do. Picked nine cabbages before the sleet hit. That reminds me.

My reason for BR schools is the roads won't be thawed enough before we get another freeze this evening.

We (private/catholic) have been following EBR public. I'm assuming they will cancel again if the roads are still icy.

We go to school more days than we need to, so hopefully we won't exceed those.

Good luck with your melons. I've grown some unbelievably beautiful and sweet watermelons and cantaloupes like that.
