Damn right he was. I've gotten on the kid a lot the past 3 years, but I really like him. I've met him at some Tip Off Club functions and he always comes up to all of us and introduces himself cordially and shakes everyone's hand.

When he bows up and decided to play hard for 40 minutes, he can be a forece. Yeah, he relapsed for a small stretch in the second half and jacked a couple of fall-aways, then CJJ to his credit reminded him what he's supposed to do and he resumed takiing it to the hole.

Happy for him and our Tigers!!

The reason why we run the halfcourt sets that everyone complains about and slow the pace down is solely because of this guy. He needs the rock in his hands on the block. After he is gone, hopefully after next year, we will be more run and gun like everyone wants, but there's no way any true basketball fan would not want toslow the pace down for this guy and feed him every possession. Excellent post player, excellent passer and a great team leader.

The fact that he had a presser to say he wasn't declaring last year says he'll probably declare after this year, especially after career performances against Kentucky
