No, this is not a named storm.

I think the name has to come from the NWS or NOAA, or one of those government agencies.

This name is given by TWC, they don't mean shite.

The insurance companies tried to pull this 'named storm deductible' in other states but those officials told them 'frick no'.

The only named storms that apply to insurance are named by the gov't National Weather Service. The NWS only names tropical weather.

Media(The Weather Channel, Wake up with Al, Today show etc.)named storms don't apply to insurance.

As I understand it, TWC started naming winter storms themselves in a desperate attempt to capitalize on more than just hurricane season.
