LSU limped into the Florida game at 4-1, needing a miracle to beat Vanderbilt 7-6. Cecil Collins suffered a career ending injury in the game, making it perhaps the worst victory in LSU history. LSU's only loss was to Auburn in a game that still torments me. Really, I have no idea how we lost that game behind Collins' 232 rushing yards. So, despite the record, spirits were pretty low on game day.

Florida was a huge, double-digit favorite. They were the defending national champions and the #1 team in the country, looking every bit the invincible juggernaut. After their standard defeat of Tennessee, Florida scored 50 points in back to back SEC games. Oh, and LSU had lost to Florida every single season since 1987.

I don't know who the coordinator was in the upper right hand side of the booth that did that "shimmy" after Donaldson's pick 6, but I can't not laugh at that every time.

I remember my grandfather gave me his tickets because no one thought we would beat Florida so my dad and I went. While there we had issue because apparently another guy had the same seat tickets as us. Lucky the ones we had were real and we were able to stay.

I have a piece of grass, my ticket stub, and the Sports Illustrated all framed together in my office at my house.

I hung the cover of the advocate the morning after in my room until I graduated high school in 05. I believe it was Cedric Donaldson's interception return on the cover.

I have some grass in a gatorade cup and the SI as well

I have no idea where my stub is, though. I sat in the student section that game instead of our regular seats.

I still have that paper. Wonder how much somebody would pay for it (hypothetically)?

I've got the Advocate page from the next morning framed in my camp. One of my favorite LSU games ever.

I was there with buddies as the start of a friend's bachelor party. We "went out" after, and still remember ignoring the girls on stage everytime SportsCenter looped around to the highlights lol.

Dear lord, look at Faneca leading on that first TD. What a monster.

I was standing next to Jordy Hultberg when he was hit in the chest by the upright from the FG that was torn down.

His great games vs Florida and Georgia Tech bookended four years of wasted talent. That, in and of itself, was enough reason to fire Dinardo.

TGBFTL roster proves I was there.

Well, maybe not "proves" it, but I promise I was there.
