Best bud is tying the knot April 2015 (mid-month).

In your experience, what is the best timing of a bachelor party?

Assuming it'll be a weekend destination one, we obviously won't be doing it too close to the wedding. At the same time, you do it to far out in advance and I'd think the natural meaning of it would be lost (staring down marriage) and it would take a little more effort to get everyone in the proper debaucher-ous mindset..

Plus it's likely we'll want to do something on the coast so we can go fishing so we'd like to do it with decent weather.

Anyway, any destinations you think would be cool for a bachelor party for an April wedding would be appreciated, as would advice on the best timing.

Go for whichever weekend works best for you all.
For the best fishing(including spear fishing at night), grand isle is good.
If you have $$$ go to Key West for 3 nights. Awesome party city with great fishing

Buddy of mine is getting married first weekend of April. We are doing the bachelor party March 6-9.

Getting late in the game man y'all should have this planned already. We've had this planned 3 months now.

ETA: 2015 my bad

You should talk to fin. He's done Costa Rica for bachelor parties before with lots of fishing.

March is great time to go to CR as well.

By the way, if you do Vegas, I think the first weeekend of the tournament is a bad idea. It's just too packed with 25-50 year old dudes, you can't get in a dang bet on a game unless you're in line an hour ahead of time, it's a bit more pricey that weekend, etc., etc.

If your friends are into music and partying, SXSW festival in Austin is in March. It's a good time and a lot can be done for little $$$ if you aren't very picky. Lots of free shows and "parties" around town.
