Wolf of Wall Street? What was the lesson? SPOILERS

Seriously, after all the hype up of this movie from everyone, I watched it and must say that although the debauchery these men endured was of EPIC proportions........I found no value in Belfort's story, he genuinely didn't come off as remorseful for his actions and they didn't even tie up loose ends like his relationship with his daughter after prison, etc.
What was I suppose to learn from Belfort?

What did you learn from the end of goodfellas?

In Goodfellas Henry sums it all up.........he became and informant and he became a nobody and had to live his life like a schnook.

Hell George Jung even summed it up on his knees in the prison dreaming of his daughter.
Frank Abagnale became the leader in his field for bank security.

and he hated it...he wasn't remorseful for what he did, either, and it was apparent
and they didn't tie up any loose ends with his family, either

I guess not but I'd like to hear what the guy who fricking stole millions from unassuming hard working american suckers learned from the whole ordeal.
And I'd like to know if he fricking became a real father after "getting clean."

All I'm saying is I felt some closure in Goodfellas ........I felt no closure in WOLF.

Exactly Jordan and Henry are both sociopaths just their crimes are punished differently. They were both sent to a purgatory of sorts.

One of the better negative reviews of WoWS that I read was there was zero focus or attention given to any of the many victims of this behavior. Instead the whole thing was a vehicle for Scorsese excess and gratuity.

i'm glad they didn't, b/c that would have been a major stretch. nobody put a gun to their heads to invest in penny stocks capable of being pumped and dumped. plus at a certain point (which the movie doesn't get into) they had to move into a legitimate enterprise or they couldn't have sustained their rep/profits
oooh, they owned stock in steve madden when it went public...THE HORROR!!!

Ok........so you think Alfred Mann should be able to drive up prices on his drug company all the well knowing it will fail then dump for profit while millions of unsuspecting laborers suffer...
Brilliant post.......I mean I am speaking to a Lawyer so..........
