Microsoft Excel help

I need to enter the NCAA sliding scale for high school graduates GPA vs ACT scores into excel. Simply put, I have a spreadsheet built that calculates an athlete's GPA already. I would like the GPA to reference the sliding scale and spit out what ACT score is needed to meet the eligibility requirements. Thanks

If you work for the NCAA Clearinghouse, no wonder why LSU sucks at getting players in without any problems

Pretty simple. Use vlookup formula.

Your request is worded funny but it sounds like a VLOOKUP formula will help you here

Thanks alot. Im going to start playing around with it. Another factor I will run into is the sliding scale has GPA's listed in .025 increments. How do I get it to reference the row nearest the value but not going over? For instance, the scale says if you get a 2.500 GPA, your ACT sum needs to equal 68, if your GPA is 2.525, your ACT sum needs to equal 67.
How do I get it to calculate a GPA of lets say 2.510? I would want it to round down to the 2.500 row. Thanks

Ok now I'm confused. The VLOOKUP formula works perfectly except it only recognizes the first 57 lines of the table. The table is 63 lines long. I checked the array of the lookup and it includes all 63 lines.
edit: Forget the situation in my last post, I found a work around.

If they need a 68 on their ACT then they are fricked.

I could be reading your request wrong, but it sounds like you need to combine 2 different formulas (vlookup, round)
For example:
=round(vlookup(gpa,gpa:actscore,2,0),1)
=rounded act score that is needed for that particular gpa
Switch gpa and act score if doing it the other way.
