November 11th, the King of Xbox Live will arise once again!
November 9th, 2014 will be the 10 year anniversary of Halo 2. I hope we get a similar release, like Halo: CE 10 Year Anniversary. I just hope Halo 2 will have it's own multiplayer, being that the multiplayer is what made the game truly great.
What are your thoughts/opinions on this. Would you buy this release?

Multiplayer
Like Halo: Combat Evolved, the Xbox version of Halo 2 features a multiplayer system that allows players to compete with each other in split-screen and system link modes; in addition, it adds support for online multiplayer via Xbox Live.
Halo 2 introduced an entirely new paradigm for matchmaking players together. In earlier games, one person specifies a game type and map and configures other settings, before setting up his or her device as a game server and advertising the game to the world at large. Halo 2 introduced a "playlist" system that automated this process to keep a steady flow of games available at all times, and layered a skill-ranking system on top.
The Xbox Live multiplayer and downloadable content features of the Xbox version of Halo 2 were supported until the discontinuation of the service in April 2010. The online multiplayer of Halo 2 for Windows Vista uses Games for Windows – Live. In January 2013, it was reported that the PC multiplayer servers would be taken offline on February 15, 2013 due to inactivity. On February 12, 2013, it was announced that the multiplayer servers for Halo 2 on PC would remain online until June, while further support options would be investigated.

Halo 3 is my favorite game ever.
With that being said, I would not buy.

If I still had my boxxxxx (or a One, I suppose), I might consider it. I remember everything about the day that game released. I was doing a survey on Navarre Beach after a hurricane had blown through, and I was driving the guy I worked with nuts about Halo talk. Couldn't get home fast enough. I had about 6 or 7 friends coming over to my place that night for a LAN. Little did I know that it was the beginning of the end for such things. That was a great night.
I remember being super disappointed about the warthog physics. I guess they were a bit absurd in CE, but we had a great game set up for 4 players using invisibility and 5 lives on Blood Gulch. Wasn't going to work with 2

My fondest memories on Xbox Live were the days of Halo 2. My favorite game of all time, and it's really not even close. Even offline LAN parties with people and TV's filling my house. I miss it.

I miss lan parties.
I also had some epic CTF games in halo 1, 2, and 3. I loved blocking the teleports with vehicles on blood gulch in Halo 1.

Halo 3 was a very good game. I played the shite out of it, but I have to ask, did you play Halo 2? Why would you not buy this game if you are such a fan of Halo 3? They're pretty similar.

I wasn't really a fan of it as much. I hated the battle rifle.
Had much fonder days of original Halo at friends houses doing multiplayer that way

I really can't remember my reasons, I just never liked 2 as much as I did 1 or 3.

Same. Beautiful maps. Pit, narrows, construct, even Foundry (i think that was the name) was a lot of fun.
I would air lift to the top of the map with sniper/rockets and go to town. Yeah I was one of those players at times.

I'm the same way with H2. Lockout, Midship, Warlock, Sanctuary, Turf, etc. I just loved it.

If you can't beat em, join em. I got tired of people doing it to me. I learned a lot of the tricks from having them done to me.

Dude.. the hours I spent in custom games with random guys launching each other outside of the levels and exploring...
So many memories
Then there was the massive task of getting the plasma rifle that fires mantis projectiles

I've spent the last hour watching top 10 halo videos on youtube. Memories

I've been watching any and every Halo 2 multiplayer game on YouTube for the past couple days

The game was so funny at times. I saw some of the most ridiculous things ever in the Halo series.
Insane betrayals, the flag in CTF flying across the map, sniper bullets doing things they shouldn't do

Halo 2 is the damn GOAT. The leveling system is still my favorite of any multiplayer game.
I miss LAN parties.

Halo 2 was the best game ever in my opinion. Sucked that so many people cheated. Lockout and ivory tower are the best maps ever made. Hang em high is up there too
