back in 2007 I was awarded a non expiring restitution judgment from a defendant out in california. the initial award was $98k with 10% a year interest. i've only received one payment which was enough to pay the landscaping guy a couple of times. the total is currently at $158k and the courts can't help cause the fella is off of probation. i'm on my own in pursuit and recovery via the civil system or whatever. i recently found out that individuals and businesses buy/sell/trade all types of judgments at lesser value. any of you law folks or businessmen have any helpful info on what i can do. thanks

Step 1: Get off of Tigerdroppings.com.

Step 2: Call a lawyer.

What is a defender?

If you have a158k judgment that is 7 years old it's pretty much worthless. No one would buy that shite.

If this is restitution from a criminal judgment and the guy is off paper, then you are fricked.

Judgment against a criminal isn't worth much. How are you going to collect?

He's not. It's basically uncollectable.
