This snow/sleet/ice storm was not even on any predictions until it actually happened. The best chance you could find about 36 hours ago was that a 10% chance of frozen precip would occur from 10 pm - midnight last night.
Well after 17 hours going on 18 straight with frozen precip is it safe to call this the biggest weather prediction bust in recent history? Not one of these meteorologist lose a penny of pay for not knowing wtf was gonna happen. Must be nice.

The 08 prediction was worse. Went to bed with Diane Deaton predicting a dusting and woke up to a fricking blizzard outside.

When it comes to this kind of weather...it's almost impossible to get correct. They would rather play it safe (which ironically isn't), then call for a snow storm and not have it show up.

It's 28 degrees outside but was raining most of the time. I am guessing the air way up there was warmer then down here or some shite. Like I said, it takes very special circumstances, especially down here off the gulf.

Having said that, yeah...most can't predict shite.

They work off global models. On a global scale, 50 miles is nothing. On a local scale, 50 miles is the difference between clear skies and three inches of snow.

I can be a weatherman. Anyone can. Go online and repeat it. That's all they do, with some goofy banter. Weather man on the news should be no longer. The local anchor should read the report from here on out

I remember LSU shut down for a hurricane around '04 and we didn't even get any rain. Played football outside of the Union when it was supposed to be nasty.

You are a dufus

On tuesday I was hearing about possible snow late in the week. Do you think meteorologists are wizards and can look into their crystal ball and predict exactly what will happen?

Accuweather had it about three weeks ago. Their long range forecast is surprisingly accurate.
