To be fair, I find them both equitable.

Both are extremely petty

equally shitty

both exemplify what is wrong with US politics.


That said, people who think it is "getting worse" or that such things are unprecedented need to pick up a history book.

Correct.

However, I feel Republicans and democrats have been taking it to new levels in recent years.

I could get behind politicians beating up politicians, but what you describe is not the same as politicians punishing the public for not voting for them.
