Ann Coulter takes on Wendy Davis

Pure Gold.
Point No. 1: Davis' family wasn't working-class. Her father owned a sandwich shop and a dinner theater, which puts Davis solidly into middle-class land.
Point No. 2: No one who works at MSNBC would know this, but everyone whose parents run a family business starts work at age 14, if not sooner.
Point No. 3: Her parents were separated, but that is not the commonly accepted meaning of "single mother."
Point No. 4: As for being a single mother at age 19 -- she wasn't a "single mother" in the traditional sense, either. She was married at age 18, had a child at 19 and divorced her first husband, a construction worker, at 21. (He couldn't afford tuition at Harvard.)
The reason Wendy Davis' apocryphal story was impressive is that single mothers have to run a household, take care of kids and provide for a family all by themselves. But Wendy was neither supporting her kids, nor raising them. If someone else is taking care of your kids and paying your tuition, that's not amazing.
Hey -- maybe Jeff Davis should run for governor! He's the one who raised two kids, including a stepdaughter, while holding down a job and paying for his wife's law school. There's a hard-luck story!

I like reading Coulter the way I like watching The Daily Show, it's funny and shows a different point of view. But she is getting to the realm of being just a comedian.

The first response from the left for any idea or argument that it can't logically refute is ridicule. I believe that her comments are reasonable in light of what was claimed by Mrs. Davis and her supporters and what really took place.

Dumped Davis as soon as he paid her last tuition bill at Harvard...so classy.

It is still very hard for me to understand why the Democrats chose this candidate to rally behind. "Abortion Barbie" in a solidly conservative Red State? I don't get it.
And why would anyone of any political stripe make up a lie about their past to advance their career when these lies are so easy to bring to the surface? Seems like both her candidacy and credibility are torpedoed.

Libs rightly believe they aren't going to be scrutinized as much and they wouldn't be if not for alternative media.
Hell, look at the obnoxious associations of obama his entire life. That didn't matter at all. If I ran for something and associated with the white equivalent of "rev" wright I would be hounded from public life.

I guess they couldn't get anyone else (like Houston Mayor Annise Parker, or one of the San Antonio Castro twins) to take the job. Or maybe they thought they could beat Rick Perry if he ran yet again (only to have him finally step down).

Partisanship aside, I think some politicians have a certain type of mental illness. How else could a Hillary Clinton regale the story of dodging snipers while landing a Tuzla? How could John Kerry preach to the Senate about his seared memories in a Swift Boat in Cambodia on Christmas Eve? How could Bill Clinton talk about the night skies being lit with the burnings of black churches? Joe Biden - Neil Kinnock's family stories.
It's the George Costanza theory; not a lie if you believe it at that particular time.

Because nine times out of ten, the Left Wing media gives those people (Leftists) a pass. Even if a story "breaks" like Biden's did in the 90s, did you ever hear about it once he became Obama's running mate? Nah......a plagiarist Dem VP candidate? Old news.
Besides, better to take the loss now, in hopes that one of the Castro brothers steps in on the next go round. Radical Mama and all.
This guy couldn't ignore it, because even though he's a Leftist the story was too obvious, and if he didn't get it, someone else would've.

Ann Coulter is a count. Couldn't care less what she thinks about, well, anything.

Like Letterman and Maher are getting to the realm of just being politicians.
Coulter is spot on with her political analyses - and the fact that she can make it humorous is all to the good.
The DEMs would love to have someone like her - truth with biting humor. Instead they have to make do with out of context truths sound byte factoids mixed with grade school level 'humor.'

Davis also said these attacks "won't work, because my story is the story of millions of Texas women ..." Yes, for example, Anna Nicole Smith. Though at least Smith had the decency not to ask for a paid education
you missed the best line!!!!
