Anyone here ever been to Portugal?

I've been to Lisbon. Lots of fun. Cheap food and wine, beer. I recommend it. But I never got to go to the countryside which is probably amazing.

I've never been to Portugal, but there is so much to do/see in Spain. I don't know how much time you have, but I'd do both if possible. You're already paying for the airline ticket, so I'd try to stretch the trip if it was me.

Guy I work with went there for two weeks this summer. He did Spain last year. Says he got bored with two weeks in Portugal.

Lisbon and Lagos are amazingly cool cities.
There is this bar in Lagos near the arising Cock Hostel that brings in all kinds of people. They also have an international beer bong competition going on all year. USA was 2nd to the Aussies when Scruffy was there.
ETA: we were only in Portugal for 1 week.

I'd second this, but also add that the people are super friendly and that the beach town Cascais, which is ~1hr train ride to the west has insanely nice ocean views. Highly underrated travel destination imo.
