Help finding sewerline

I'm trying to find my water line out of my house. Guy said there should be a "white cap" somewhere out of my house to check and see if there is any blockage going out of the house to the street. I searched my house and didn't see anything that would possibly resemble that. Any suggestions?

It's next to the snipe-meter. You just have to hunt for it.

The cleanout?
Should be a black pipe sticking out of the ground(not racist)

Sounds like you mean the sewer clean out. It should be close to your slab. It should be a 3 or 4" threaded pipe cap.

If you open the white cap going out of your house, I you'll find the pipe is full of shite, just like your friend. Thats a sewer cleanout.
Find the meter box at the street. Typically, water lines enter houses at a hose bib nearest the box. You'll see a line coming up out of the ground to the hose bib, then turning to go inside the wall.

He's talking about the sewer line
OP, open up the cap, and have someone flush the toilet a couple of times while you look in it. If water moves by, the blockage could be downstream from the cleanout. If you don't see water flowing, or it flows very slowly, it should be in your house

They only mark to the meter. Meter to house is the owner's responsibility.

Depending on the age of your house, you may not have one. My house doesnt.

Rent a small motorized 3/8" sewer machine and drop the cable down a vent and listen for it in the ground. Dig it up 2-3' out from the house where you hear it loudest.
Seriously dude call a plumbing Co or sewer cleaning service. Once you find it you still have to remove the block and some stuff is worth paying for. This is one of those things.

Built in 2006. If that's the case, what are my options?

Be prepared to find things in that line that you can't unsee

It will probably be near the middle of your house...in line with whatever bathroom is near the center of the house.

Flush one iphone. Track it with another using the "find my iphone" app. There's your clog. I'd use a life case on the first iphone also.
