I'm halfway through season 2 and it feels like it's hitting its stride. The visuals when inside of the car are laughable but I have zero issues with the acting. I feel all the main characters do a good enough job.

1. formulaic
2. cheesy at moments
3. Perhaps the worst theme song in a long, sad history of them, though I don't really care about the songs
4. episodic, which I was not expecting.
5. really terrible production values, it is difficult to watch any scene that is in a car.
6. Some of the worst acting I've ever seen, not by olyphawhatever,

FOUR episodes in, and I'm not too happy I spent 20 bucks

Stop watching then.

Pretty simple.

I'm pretty sure it's available on Amazon Prime. If you don't already have it, $20 would pay for 3 months worth of Prime.

I don't remember being as disappointed as you in the beginning, but I do remember thinking how much better it gets as it progresses.

As for the theme song I couldn't agree more. That has always been my biggest complaint, even though in the end it's meaningless and doesn't change my opinion of the show. It's just so out of place it's stupid.

the main cast is fine

bit characters...not such good actors. When the guy from MAD TV does the best acting job outside of the main cast, there is an issue.

the black guy from "fixer" was the absolute pits. Actually, the whole episode was pretty terrible.

I had to google the theme song because it was so crazy. The band is Gangsta Grass.

You'll realize later it's not totally episodic, it has background themes that run a season or longer.

So far, I think the pilot is the best episode.

Season 1 picks up the last 2 or 3 episodes and so far season 2 is really good.

Timothy Olyphant has always been an underrated actor but his accent is horrible.

Olyphant and Goggins easily make up for any bad acting that might occur. And Winona.. good god almighty, that is one fine looking woman.

With Justified ended he would be a great future Negan on TWD.

towards the end of season 1 this stops and it becomes serialized. I was bothered by that at first but keep going, it's one of my favorite shows now

I like episodic series

the x files MOWs were my favorite, but the setup in the pilot seemed to be perfect for a season long arc, then bam, next episode

and like I said, the main cast is fine, but the rest of the acting is below the standards of a soap opera...truly awful

I forgot Justified was originally episodic. I didn't really care for season 1, but season two was one of the best seasons of any show, ever.

Goggins is a bit slight to be Negan, isn't he?

2. cheesy at moments

This is one reason I didn't start watching it when it first started...it just seemed over the top cheesy (which is fine when a show knows it is like that).

Also, I've never really liked Olyphant at all. Always thought he was a pretty shitty actor. I did just pick up Deadwood though, so maybe he'll be okay in that. These are movies where I've thought he was awful:

Scream 2
Girl Next Door
Gone in 60 Seconds (may be his worst)
Rock Star
Dreamcatcher
Live Free or Die Hard

I did think he was okay in The Crazies..I'll give him that much.
