does he take 2nd or 3rd tier players just to get to 25, or will he put those spots in the bank for next year?

this has been discussed.

there is a faction of us (me included) that think LSU signs 25 players no matter what.

there is a faction who think LSU goes all out, go big or go home, and signs less than 25 if they lose out on their top targets.

We may not take enough to get to 25 but IMO we will take a couple body's to fill depth.

It doesn't make sense to save spots with so many guys leaving early every year.

I seriously doubt he signs 25, so theyll likely just get some EEs next year.

Same guys on here who bitch about filling spots with bodies will bitch about lack of depth next year if he doesn't. So it really doesn't meter what Miles does, amirite?

If it's puppies vs kittens and Miles says puppies half of the morons will be outraged kitten fans. If he says kittens, the same morons will be whining that Miles is a puppy hater.

What about the faction that just believe they cant get to 25? I think theyd like to, but I think they will lose out on Dupre, Young and Clark flipping will leave them short.

The answer is yes and no. I don't think we get to 25, but DT, OL, and Safety are areas of need for this class, so some offers will be handed out there that otherwise wouldn't have. For example, if we miss on Young I don't think we'll be taking another LB just to get to 25.

Safety? We have 3 already in this class right? You think we are taking 4?

I think there will always be prospects waiting-and-seeing on LSU right up until NSD.

Who are you predicting will land Dupre, if not LSU?

Not to hijack, but any word on Kenny Young. aggie posters on here last week said they were on commit alert because he was visiting this past weekend.

We'll see. Staff may be done there but Adams is the only one who is for sure playing safety. We'll be losing a lot of depth there in the next two seasons one way or another, so now is the time to load up. WR is another spot I could see us taking a flyer on, but my only point was it depends on needs, not just getting to 25 just to say we did. Next year is pretty loaded so I think we'll back count a few.

We sign 25, probably a couple of last minute guys like Gage or Ramirez.
Just a question? If we cant get 25 top notch guys this year with unprecedented state talent, what makes you think you will get 27 or 28 next year?

We're really in a good spot. The hardest guys to pick, coming out of HS, are Olinemen. So see what we get, and if we have two or three spots left, fill them with big men who are three star guys.

No telling really. We aren't just going to add bodies, but there are fringe guys that the coaches have in mind for back up plans already. Like a Russel gage. Its not like they will just be scrambling for numbers with out a few guys in mind. You also have to think that some of these guys would have been def takes any other year. This cycle is just loaded.
