I live in Houston now and want to have a king cake delivered. Obviously the two places I am debating between are Manny Randazzo's and Haydel's. Should anyone else be on my short list in NO?

Why does it have to come from New Orleans?
What about Ambrosia or Gambino's

It doesn't necessarily. I just want the best one. I don't think I have ever had one from Ambrosia or Gambino's. Are they better?

The advantage of the Haydel shipped cakes is that they put a Mardi gras magazine, a few doubloons, some beads, etc and some other stuff in the box.
I've found this to be a nice little extra for my friends and family.

Haydel's and Randazzo's are the best and both do great jobs of shipping them. Don't waste your time with anything else.

Perfect. Online it looks like Haydel's ships them to you for $43 and Randazzo's is around $54 for a filled one. They don't give a better price if you call or anything right? So I can just go ahead and order it online?

Not sure on any pricing adjustments. I doubt it.

Last question. Has anyone ever had "Da Parish" from Haydel's. Looks like it's the traditional one with more icing on top. Looks absolutely delicious. Is it better than the traditional one?

I had a Da Parish one from there the other day. It was really good. I think they bake the sugar on then put the icing and the sprinkles.

It says UPS Next Day Air Saver Shipping Included. So I guess if I order right now I would get it tomorrow.

MLK day may throw it off. Not sure if UPS is off today. But last year when I did one it was here the next day.

I placed the order online and it told me the "ship date" would be the 21, which is obviously tomorrow. I called and they told me that their cutoff was 11 AM to have them by the next day. I think I placed my order around 10 30 or so, but oh well. I guess I'll get it Wednesday.
