Red dot sights

I'm looking for a good red dot sight for my AR but I'd really rather not spend $500 on an eotech, are there any comparable sights out there for a couple hundred bucks?

After having both Aimpoints and EOThingys for years I sold all but the Aimpoints. The Vortex is pretty nice and is similar to the Aimpoint.

The Aimpoint PRO is a little over $400 and is an absolutely excellent sight. If you're not gonna be using your rifle hardcore, you may not have a reason to spend that much, but it's totally worth it IMO. Then again, if you're rifle will just be an occasional plinker, the Vortex will suit you just fine.
