I made two videos on Friday. I should post the other one soon once it's done exporting and uploading to YouTube.

But for now, here's my first:

So what did you conclude?

I can answer that. A .22 bulletin to the face will defend ones self from an attacker

Good man, although, as an absolute last resort I would sling them if my life was in danger.

Well if you watched the video you would know I agree with that.

But considering all other options, it shouldn't ever be a first option in my mind.

First option would be my own personal trained sniper and a small army of ninjas to follow me around.

If I ever rob you and you start shooting .22 lr rounds at me, I will stop.

I want neither 40 nor 140 grains of lead in my frontal lobe

The video does not talk about the lethality of 22. Of course it's lethal. That's not why it's a bad option.

Mostly because it's unreliable. It doesn't feed reliably and it doesn't go pew every single time. Feed issues because it's rimmed, doesn't go pew because it's rimfire.

A huge check mark for the 22LR is the reduced recoil allows for accurate and consistent follow up shots

This sums it up pretty well. It's mostly the spotty reliability of rimfire cartridges, the lack of a bullet crimp, the unreliable feeding, the lack double stack magazines, the lack of power, etc.

Good video but....

I think your claim that 10-20 percent of bulk .22 ammo fails to ignite/fire is ridiculous. If I misunderstood what you were saying I apologize.

I can honestly say that I have never had a round that did not fire. Granted, I stick to name brands like CCI, Winchester, and Remington but I have literally never seen this.

Ive shot thousands of .22 rounds and only have had 5-10 fail to go "pew". I guess it would matter if I needed THAT round to go pew.

You either have been lucky or just haven't shot enough 22 rounds. I've shot tons and tons of 22 bullets. I remember my friends uncle that works for the wildlife and fisheries would bring us bricks of 22 bullets and tell us to have fun when we were kids. I've had PLENTY fail to fire. Sometimes I'd have 5-6 out of a box that didn't shoot. Sometimes more, sometimes less, sometimes none. 22 bullets are very unreliable. That's why I wouldn't trust one with my life. My m&p 9 pro shoots every time it's supposed to.

it's all about shot placement. I've seen people killed by a .22 and people shot 5 times with a .40 run for a mile before stopping.
