Couch's trial made national headlines last month when a judge sentenced him to therapy and 10 years' probation instead of jail time.
The latest lawsuit was filed on behalf of a 13-year-old who was riding in one of the vehicles Couch's truck slammed into last June.
It described the boy's injuries as serious, but did not say how much money is being sought.
