Just finished watching this video. LINK I'm thinking of getting them both. Is the P380 your preferred pocket gun and is the CM9 your preferred IWB carry? Are the trigger, sights, feel pretty much the same? I'm thinking of selling my LC9.

Best decision I made. Shot my 9mm Shield yesterday. It ate everything without a hiccup. WWB,Tula,BrassMax, Critical Defense, and Barnes XPD.

my problem with the LC9 is simply the trigger and nothing else. It's just not fun to shoot.

Absolutely. You looking at the Kahr? This is my Shield results yesterday. 15ft. Fun to shoot. Happy Happy Happy

Well my dad pocket carries the P380 (same size as a CW380) and has had success with it for almost two years. He really likes it. I would say it's the smoothest shooting micro 380 out there.

I carry the CM9 IWB mostly but I also carry it in my pocket with the flush fit mag if my pants have deep enough pockets. But the loaded gun is considerably heavier than the loaded 380.

Refer to:

Pretty much. The trigger is actually shorter on the 380 since the gun is dimensionally smaller.

Refer to this video if you haven't already. I compare them side by side:

The CM9 is dimensionally smaller than both the LC9 and Shield. Those are a tad too large for pocket carry whereas the CM9 can fit in some pockets.

I probably would have gotten the CM9 when I got the LC9 but that was when everything was hard to find.

is there anyway to justify the cost of the PM9 and P380 over the CM9 and CW380?

For me, no. It's really just for the smoother lines and the extra magazine. I'm sure they sell a lot more of the CWs and CMs.

Thx. They have the CW's on Gunbroker. They're still hard to find.

I think the problem was that the ammo/gun panic started last December right before the gun was released. So I'm sure Kahr was working to fill other orders before throwing out new products.

Glad we're finally seeing them now. For a quality 380 at around $350-$400, the CW380 is a no brainer.

My two cents is no, the pm not worth the extra money. Now the MK9 on the other hand....

If you like the LC9 you should go ahead do the following:

replace the trigger bar
install short trigger
remove mag safety
steel guide rod
springs

All those items can be installed in less than 15 minutes and the parts are available from Galloway Precision for about $150. You will think you have a new pistol.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I'm not a fan of altering the internals of a concealed weapon from a liability standpoint. Any little thing can be evidence in the courts, and if I can avoid helping stack the chips against me. . .

If you like "pretty" guns, then yes. Since the cm9 is a conceal gun. The no.

You get an extra mag w pm 9. Other than that, cm9 is what I eventually chose for the reasons of:
Conceal ability
P r I c e
Price
Weight
Size and
Oh. Price.

Can easily fit in pocket.

Agreed. The CM9 is probably the smallest reliable 9mm out there right now. The Diamondback is the only one I can think of that is smaller and you know how much everyone loves those...

I'm taking a carbine class at Tactical Response on the weekend of February 22nd. I will be doing a review soon after that because that will give me a much better idea of how the rifle handles. I will also have a lot of cool GoPro footage accumulated by that point.

Pleas be careful at that class. I know two guys that have been to tactical response and they claimed that muzzle sweeps were out of control. I have seen some of their vids I wouldn't go near their shoot house with them or the class. Of course Yeager got a bad rap during his time as a contractor and has said some pretty crazy things. I hope the class is good for you and please be very safe and cautious.

Good to get some feedback.

Luckily the amount of positive I'm hearing seems to drown out the small chunk of negative. It should be interesting. $500 and 1500 rounds of 5.56 say "I fricking hope so."
