Starting the patriotism push quickly

I am about to blow a damn gasket already. He does understand that what Paul Revere and the Sons of Liberty, Spying on the Japs, and Spying on the Soviets are not like the NSA compiling information on private citizens doesn't he?

"We demanded that we improve our intelligence capabilities after 9/11"...
Says one of the biggest critics of Bush's intelligence overstepping during that presidency

FISA approved compiling phone data 26 (or was it 36?) times since 2006.
Sure, and that's why the NSA needed to build that massive storage facility in Utah.

I'm afraid people don't understand the storage capacity of the center.
If it were for mere records of phone calls/texts, we could store that onto a couple dozen computers.
That complex in Utah is there to store conversations, among other things.
I hope Snowden comes out with some more stuff after the speech today.

Don't forget to take a swig of booze every time he says "I".

I'd be hammered. He just had a beautiful run of self promotion

Or stuff like this.
“The main use of the collection from these [NSA spying] programs [is] for law enforcement. [See the 2 slides below].”
These slides give the policy of the DOJ/FBI/DEA etc. on how to use the NSA data. In fact, they instruct that none of the NSA data is referred to in courts – cause it has been acquired without a warrant.”
“So, they have to do a ‘Parallel Construction’ and not tell the courts or prosecution or defense the original data used to arrest people. This I call: a ‘planned programed perjury policy’ directed by US law enforcement.”

Private companies can have more room to disclose what info they are giving to the government. Again, potentially on board here

Long discussion on changes to metadata storage/usage. Gonna have to look over this one in more detail when it is all laid out.
Did mention increasing need for approval from judges, we'll see
