Resurfacing an Aluminum boat

So my buddy has an 18' aluminum boat with carpet in it. The carpet has been starting to tear up and fade. He is wanting to go with something else. Only thing I could think of was rhino lining it, and that could get expensive. He wants to do it himself if possible. Any help would be great!

bedliner = very hot during the summer sun
Unless you get a color added to it, it is gonna burn you. I tested a bunch of colors and found that OD tan was the coolest out of them all
There is some rubber mat that people put down also. I just can't remember the name right now
Eta: I put bedliner on the rails and seats as a non-skid. Black went on the rails, and tan on the seats

Not exactly cheap but Sea Dek makes a rubber type sheet padding that can be glued down and it comes in many colors. There is also a non-skid paint called Kiwi grip that could be applied and get similar results as bed liner while being able to do it yourself.

eta:We covered the floors and deck of my buddys 15' G3 and it stays cool, feels great and cleans up nicely. We also have it on our mud boat and I really enjoy it.

Yeah that is another one i couldn't think of. Gator trax offers their boats with the camo hydro turf.

Gatortail also offers it on their boats. Here is a picture of the deck of ours with the grey hydro-turf.
