boohoo

quote:

A condemned Ohio killer who is due to be executed tomorrow, could face an agonizing death where he struggles to breathe in the last few minutes of his life.

Inmate Dennis McGuire's lawyers had argued that the combination of the sedative midozolam and painkiller hydropmorphone could lead to a painful and terrifying phenomenon called 'air hunger' before he actually dies.

quote:

McGuire, 53, is scheduled to die Thursday for the 1989 rape and fatal stabbing of Joy Stewart in Preble County in western Ohio.

gee, you think the woman he raped and murdered suffered before she died? I hope it takes him two hours to croak.

posted this for all the vigilante OTers who like this sort of thing.

Hope he suffers and right before he goes he regains full consciousness and they do it all over again. Then this process keeps cycling for an entire day.

The execution should have happened after one failed appeal.

I am a believer in capital punishment. I also think that too many appeals and time from crime to punishment is too long.

But, I don't agree with additional ad hoc stuff being added on to jail time: e.g. Intentionally making it hard on prisoners by heat, or lack of food, sleep or whatever. The punishment is the loss of freedom. Any additional punishment should be passed by law, not warden.

If he's afraid of the needle I'd tell his lawyers that finding a tall tree and short piece of rope would be no problem at all.
