Wow that is a really good deal.

I'd like a small skillet and a smaller Dutch oven.
Just pulled the trigger. Thanks.

hard to tell, but does the dutch oven have the recessed lid for putting coals on top?

I'd probably say it is not that type. The type you are thinking of is usually pretty specific and says it is a "camp" style dutch oven. That appears to be an indoor dutch oven.

Regular price is $149.95
It's been between $65 and $70 on Amazon since August.
I got this as a gift for Christmas at that price.

Anyone on here ever polish inside their cast iron pots (talking modern cast iron here). Except for the enormous weight, that is a huge problem for me with the modern stuff. I just don't like the super porous interior. More difficult to cook with and much harder to clean.

You're right. I looked closer. And the camp style usually has "legs" underneath.

I agree, I didn't really notice until I was cooking at my grandmothers recently. Hers were very smooth.

Odds are hers was pre-WWII back when there was actual workmanship put into products. Either that or it could be modern and she just uses the hell out of it and it's been worn down.

If these fits your needs, buy them. I'd argue you'd be better served by looking for some older pots at flea markets and antique stores. Sure it'll take time, but you'll have quality pieces.
Picked up a cornbread skillet in good shape at an antique mall for $5 for a Christmas present.
