Shameless plug. I know where the board stands on this show (and I don't totally disagree) but if you get a chance to check out the restaurant scenes, you will see a fellow poster as the snooty waiter.

Talked to him about "Cha-Ching!". He said the whole experience was surreal. Loves NOLA.

They often cast from the military base here for extras in movies.

Joaquin Phoenix had a WWII movie he was in that was cast out here. 120 A day or so to be in the battle scenes etc.

A girl I work with just did 7 days an got 1400 for a movie they filmed out here as well. It has some pretty big name actors in it also.

Hawaii Five-O films monthly on the coast guard base. They do joint scenes with the coast guard, but I don't think the coast guardsmen get paid for that.
