There are some serious gems in this decade that might not be the most critically acclaimed. Here is a list of some of my favorites. Feel free to rank or add to this list. I will update the OP with additions.

Conan the Barbarian (1982)

The Princess Bride (1987)

Excalibur (1981)

Labyrinth (1986)

Highlander (1986)

Beastmaster (1982)

Time Bandits (1981)

Krull (1983)

Masters of the universe (1987)

Mad Max franchise (began in 79)

Brazil (1985)

Willow (1988)

The Dark Crystal (1982)

Legend (1985)

Dragonslayer (1981)

The Never Ending Story (1984)

The Last Starfighter (1984)

Tron (1982)

The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988)

Fire and Ice (1983)

Erik the Viking (1989)

The Secret of Nimh (1982)

Little Monsters (1989)

Sword and the Sorcerer (1982)

Deathstalker (1983)

Ice Pirates (1984)

Clash of the Titans (1981)

Red Sonya (1985)

Buckaroo Banzai (1984)

Big Trouble in Little China (1986)

Megaforce (1982)

Sheena (1984)

Conan the Destroyer (1984)

The Golden Child (1986)

Flash Gordon (1980)

Gremlins (1984)

Return to Oz (1985)

Ladyhawke (1985)

Spacehunter (1983)

Battle beyond the Stars (1980)

Steel Dawn (1987)

Blood of Heroes (1989)

The Final Countdown (1980)

Heavy Metal (1981)

Explorers (1985)

I stayed away from mainstream Sci Fi like ET, Empire Strikes Back, Back to the future, Terminator, etc.

What others can you think of?

Legend
Neverending Story

Also, if you have Time Bandits and Brazil, you might as well go ahead and add The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.

2 more: Erik the Viking and Dark Crystal

These are all great movies. I wish I had a blu-Ray box set of 80s fantasy.
