Vaccaro has by far proved himself as an amazing safety. He definitely deserves it. Unfortunately though, I haven't seen Reid play that much.

Some of the players on that list had one or two stellar games and a bunch of mediocre games the rest of the season, or they started the season very hot and cooled off big time towards the end of the season.

Yes, because LB is easy to translate to in the NFL.

Apparently, some of them did just fine.

Oh c'mon surely you remember the thread and how it was a no brainer that he was going to be better than V?
We would rue the day we passed on him.

I think a lot of people pointing to J. Jones for the 1st (myself included) were mostly pointing to the need at the LB position outweighing the need in the secondary. In hindsight, yes it looks like KV was the best choice we could have made, but look at our situation this year. Poor LB play has been one of the root causes of our mediocre rush defense. Junior Galette has been great at pash rush, but abysmal at playing contain and in coverage. I think he gets better when we have the personnel when we go to a real 3-4, but I still think we need a decent OLB this draft.

I am also simply pointing out not every good linebacker in the NFL had great rookie seasons.

jarvis jones is an a-hole who doesn't practice hard and is not a payton guy. Get over it.

Oh, I see. Thanks for your wisdom. With how adamant you are about Jarvis Jones being such a poor person you'd think he f'd your sister or something.

Why are you so confrontational? Jarvis sucked arse this year. Maybe he'll be good. But KV is the pick. He was the best S in the draft for this scheme. No other LB would have had the impact he did, day one. Easy transition or not, KV made the impact and sealed the deal.

Actually I think it was Trip perhaps that reported the same thing. Perhaps it was CSP but I do remember it being said that he was not a 1st round talent to the saints FO.

I don't understand him. I'm here to help him improve as a poster and he refuses the assistance. I mean for god's sake, the dude is trying to justify his love for jarvis again. The dude needs to let it go. He was wrong the first time, he's still wrong about it. He needs to let bye gones bee by gones.
