What are your opinions, will there ever be people walking around talking to and having a relationship with an "OS"?

I thought the movie was weird but decent, too much of a chick flick though.

Futurama has an episode where civilization fell because everyone was too busy getting it on with robots to defend the planet.

I think within 10 years many of us will have a "relationship" with a computer program in the sense that something like Siri or Google Now will become more capable and "humanized". Extrapolate that forward another few decades and the better question might be how similar will we be to the artificial intelligence?

We are headed towards a crazy time where the line between man and machine will blur. Where genetic technology and artificial intelligence will cause us to redefine what is and isn't human.

Her was surprisingly good. I was expecting a movie about a guy in love with Siri, but it was more of a Stanley Kubrick A.I. film.

Some of the audience in the theater didn't get it. There was laughter throughout the serious parts. I guess they thought the concept was ridiculous. I thought Spike Jonze did a great job with it.

Phoenix was his usual amazing self.

I don't see how an OS could sense your emotions etc.

Thought is was a terrible concept, Joaquin Phoenix was good in it, so was Samantha. Working in I.T., a lot of things made no sense at all.
