Anyone seen one or more of these? What are your thoughts? I see they get pretty high ratings on IMDb, the first and last receiving 8.1 and Sunset garnering an 8.0.

They are pretty spread out, so it looks like it covers quite a lot of territory: Sunrise (1995), Sunset (2004) and Midnight (2013).

Of course they star Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. What say you esteemed panel of experts here on the Movie/TV Board?

I liked them, have seen them all.

I really like Sunrise, didn't know Sunset existed til they started mentioning the release of Midnight. It's good trilogy of movies.

I've only seen the first two but I really liked them. They are very "talky" movies that move at a slow pace so not everyone is going to be able to pay attention.

This; I've only seen the first one and it was basically two people talking the whole time. But it's really good. I still need to watch the last 2.

only saw the first one...and i kind of hated it...two spoiled kids bitching about all that is wrong in the world...made me roll my eyes a lot.

ETA: very talky and that put me off too

I saw all 3 of them; however I liked watching movies spread out. (For instance saw sunrise at 18, Sunrise at 25 & Sunset at 33) The characters were older than me each time but I could still relate) the audience perspective changes during the years just like the characters prospective. My favorite is Sunset.

They should have done a better job casting the female lead

Linklater didn't know there were going to be sequels in 1995.

When me and the wife were first dating, she really wanted me to see this movie as it was her favorite. I fell asleep on her couch halfway through. I'm lucky she didn't kick me out then.

I've only seen the first and it's one of my favorite movies of the 90s. Just a great film. I'm hoping they make a nice package of the three movies on BluRay.

Seen all three, great movies. Its nice to see their relationship progress over time. First two in particular gave me all kinds of feels.

Three of my favorite movies. I could watch them all day. I thought Before Sunset was the best of the three.

The last one was my favorite, probably because I am a relatively new parent and could relate a little better to the people they have become. I also see a lot of myself and my wife in them, which wasn't really the case in the other two.

The scene with all of them having lunch was particularly great.

And while I admit that Delpy's character can be very annoying at times, I can't complain too much. I have known quite a few women like that. Spot on.

3 great films that are all driven on basically nothing but dialogue. The great thing is that Hawke, Delpy and Linklater do an amazing job with all three movies.

Finished this trilogy today...definitely something different, which I enjoyed alot more than I thought I would. Heavily dialogue driven, with long sequences of conversation and bits of scenery. Best scene was the song she sang at the end of 'Sunset.' That was more satisfying than any cgi scene ive seen in a long time.
