"With Hank Pym's rich history in the Marvel Universe, we knew we needed an actor capable of bringing the weight and stature to the role that the character deserves," said Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. "We felt incredibly relieved when Michael Douglas agreed to step into the part with the charm and fortitude he brings to every character he inhabits, and couldn't be more excited to see what he will do to bring Hank Pym to life."

So Rudd will be Scott Lang, but I wonder what route they will go with Janet. Will she be Pym's daughter in this version?

Michael Douglas is 69 years old. This makes no sense.

Marvel was due for one hell of a WTF casting anytime soon anyway.
Order is restored.

Hey! We might have a new WORST Marvel universe movie.
At least a few people liked Lantern and Iron III.
Having a 200 year old cunny expert as Ant-Man is pretty much guaranteeing failure.
Is it April 1st?

It's an interesting storyline to use, and makes a little sense.

I hear his voice is a little scratchy

Not understanding why Michael Douglas playing an old, retired superhero/scientist is so horrible.

Same here. I was surprised at the fact that Pym will be the villain but Douglas being cast as Pym doesn't bother me.
I've read comics for a long time. I enjoy seeing new idea's with old characters sometimes. Especially when it's Edgar Wright in the drivers seat.

Pym is the villain? I didn't see that anywhere.

I thought the "Pym as villain" thing was just a false rumor.

It may just be. The article I linked yesterday said Variety implied he would be the villain but it appears that Marvel's statement didn't mention that at all.
I guess we'll see. Villain or not, I don't get the outrage at simply the mention of Douglas cast as Pym.

They were never going to go with Pym as Ant-Man. And it's great casting.
