He was pushing 280 towards the end of this year even though he was listed at 270 the beginning of the season. Noticeably slower off the line. I think back to the NFC diviosnal game against 49ers in 2012 and the big play he made to give us the potential game winner (thanks again GW), and do not think he could have made that same type of play over the top if needed in the Seattle game, or for many of the games down the stretch. What was he then, about 265?

Granted, Seattle's DB's are more talented than the 49'ers group back in 2012, and did well jamming him at the line, but still... Jimmy needs to lay off the Popeyes if he wants to earn his money.

He had a foot thingy most of the entire year. Burned less calories perhaps?

That explains the explosiveness off the line.

Look, even healthy players, when they are jammed and harassed as much as Jimmy was at the end of the season, don't do very well.

One thing I want from Jimmy...I want his catch radius to increase. The balls that Drew fits into him need to be attacked by his hands rather than that T-Rex arm thing he does. Drives me insane.

But then I realize I'm picking nits about one of the better players to ever put on a Saints uniform.

I also wish (picking nits) he would learn how to like most do to push off and fight more with coverage under the eyes of refs of course.
Perhaps he doesn't want them to go to the foul line but for his size I think he could get better seperation using those arms of his than he does.

Maybe spend a few weeks with the master Mr Micheal Irvin?

If a smaller DB jams him off the line and he puts the guy on his arse (which he could probably do every time if he wanted), would he get called for Offensive pass interference?

Sorry if dumb question. I'm not sure how the rule works.

There's no way in hell he catches that ball that Hill caught the other day.

People need to remember this-he probably should have sat a couple of weeks, but we needed him.
