Duck fans were looking for the big splash hire and someone with experience.

Between our HC, DC and OC there is a 2 years of experience at the respective positions.

Duck fans also wanted a change in philosophy from Aliotti's "bend but don't break tendencies." Fans are catastrophizing a bit.

Here is a link to an article.

Thats rough. There is so much movement in coachign ranks this offseason, alot of teams will be left wanting by the new coach hires/promotions.

im sure they want a big, physical, super fast version like alabama's, but bigger and faster that doesnt give up an inch without maximum exertion. to team up with their 70 pt/gm offense. i mean, who doesnt?

THIS. Even the best DC's in the country will struggle when the defense is on the field 35+ minutes a game. I would think it would be difficult to be too agressive for that long.

Apparently Neal declined the position. We love NEAL.

Aliotti might have had the worst job in CFB. Oregon was number 7 in the country in yards per play given up. That was after replacing three LB - two of which are making a big impact in the NFL (Jordan and Alonso) and the other that was one of our all time tackle leaders and now going to coach for the Ducks.

A lot of uab fans want him as head coach. Idk what to think about that if he can't get promoted to dc though. He's had some really good defenses in the past as dc

NEAL is by far our favorite position coach and the dude has had a knack for finding great 2 star talent.

Patrick Chung, Jarius Byrd and TJ WARD were all tutored and recruited by NEAL. I think he is a lifer at Oregon but who knows.
