Even though it's FAF, the mandeville skippers is probably the least intimidating I've heard.

Dutchtown griffins is a pretty dumb one to me but I can see how some nerds would think its cool.

All the mascots around my area are pretty cool. I guess I'll go with the Maroon Tide of Picayune.

Loyola College Prep

I don't think its lame...has a cool story, but obviously it will be lost on most people

Go to the athletics section and it gives the quick and dirty.

I know a guy from Michigan whose high school's mascot was the Battling Bathers.

Mascot looked like the Notre Dame Irish guy but he had a towel around his waist and had his fists up ready for battle.

I actually thought it was pretty cool.

May not be lame but definitely odd:
Robert E. Lee High School Patriots

ETA: They changed from Rebels to Patriots due to some being offended by the term "Rebel" so they changed it to of all things "Patriots". Oh the irony.

Ours wasn't lame, just very common. It was Bulldogs. What made it bad was being a male athlete was it was an era where girls were winning everything (when I was in high school the girls won 3 volleyball state titles, 3 softball state titles, a state championship in golf, were state runner up in girls basketball 4 times, and won state in weightlifting as well). So the Lady Dogs definitely outperformed us dudes (though we had a state runner up finish in mens basketball, won a golf championship, and went to the playoffs 3 times in 4 years in football).

Our colors were officially LSU Purple and White, but we used black (had a black on black football uniform with purple numbers) and Silver.

But the combination of purple, being bulldogs, and our girls programs being better than our boys meant we got every trash talking joke imaginable in high school.

Mandeville has a lot of lame arse mascots. If I remember correctly, I was a Seagull in the middle school.

I was an Admiral in HS, wore Dallas Cowboy uniforms pretty much. School was named after the guy who took New Orleans in the Civil War. Although he was the first Rear Admiral in the Navy.

FYI, this whole thread is discussing "nicknames" not "mascots."

And I think Skippers and Griffins are perfectly fine nicknames.
