Has any recruit actually "trolled"?

It seems that everyone accuses these students of trolling on twitter, but in the end they are actually serious when they say they are not considering LSU...
for example... Speedy quite often tweeted his top three and he excluded LSU and people just said he was trolling. Which athlete has trolled in the past or mislead people just for fun?

Yes, they are kids. Most don't have anything better to do and don't realize the impact of their statements.

Torshiro Davis "reportedly" told the LSU staff that he was still solid to us the very night before NSD - and proceeded to sign with the Longhorns the very next day. Again "reportedly", he had known all along that we wasn't gonna sign with LSU.
If all that actually happened, then I would call that a troll.

Do want to point out that a recruit can troll us, and then commit to us. We tend to not think of that as "trolling", when it really is (human nature).
And when a recruit doesn't list us in his top3, never has pics taken with LSU gear on, never talks about LSU and doesn't take OV's to LSU- then commits to another school, that is not trolling. That is lack of interest.
ETA: I'm pretty sure that T. Davis story is true. And it is a little different than most of the trolling we see because someone on the UTx staff asked him to say the things he did.

Doesn't happen as much as people say it does. Basically people incorrectly assume that all in-state kids are as in love with LSU as they are so any evidence that they demonstrate to the contrary is trolling, when in fact they're just being truthful.

You seay that, but it seems to me that fans are more inclined to say a kid is trolling when the kid gives everyone false information. I've yet to see a recruit come out from the jump and say they want to go to another school, be called a troll.
Jerry Tiller is one of the best players in the country for 2015. He has dreamed about playing for ND his entire life, no one has an issue with him being upfront and going where he wants.
