well, to be fair the odds of Austin making all 3 were pretty slim but frick NBA refs

people keep saying this, but i really don't give a frick. how does that excuse anything? he could make the first two and miss the third and there could be a tip in. lots of shite could happen. it's not ridiculous to think something like that could happen.

2nd time this season Dallas won a game b/c the refs swallowed their whistles on an obvious foul on a 3 pt attempt at the horn (and the NBA had to come out and say "yeah... that was a foul")

David Wesley was making it sound like he had noticed that specific ref who should have made the call being in Dirks pocket. He didn't use those exact words, but pretty much what he said.

The real issue is that the refs didn't even review the play. It was a questionable call and the refs inexplicably ate their whistles. fricking ridiculous they didn't have the mind to take another look. I've seen refs review calls after the games over before and reverse them. It's not a "sexy" thing to do, but it's honest. So disappointing the Pels can't catch a damn break this season. Regardless, of whether Rivers would have made all 3 FTs

They should also issue a statement that Dirk wasn't fouled and should not have gotten 3 free throws. Take away those three from Dirk and Austin goes 1 for 3 = Pelicans win....
