In my opinion we are one stud receiver away from being great again. We will have a good run game next year with Khiry and all we really need to make the offense click is a stud receiver. Whoever that receiver is along with Kenny stills, Marques colston, and Joseph Morgan should be real fun to watch next year.

A new C/G and a stud WR, we would be right back at top of nfl I think.

Honestly, we probably need two receivers (unless Toon takes his head out of his arse).
One a return man.

And...Sproles getting old (and slower) is a problem I'm not sure what to do with.

I used to think we needed a center (and kinda still do), but DLP has been pretty solid lately.

I dont really want to invest in a RB with our other problems though. Hopefully if we improve the o-line, magically everyone of our rb's will look amazing again.

We need that all purpose WR. "Stud" is a generic term. All of our WR's are role players, and none can play multiple roles. We need the big guy with some speed that can run any route effectively. Tough to find but necessary.

We need a younger faster colston. Tha's the WR i'd describe

Someone that is kind of the same as JG in a Wr's body. It would help out JG immensely.

I think one receiver will be fine but it would need to be an elite tier guy like Fitz. Now… saying that… I have no idea how the Saints would obtain one. Colston is fine as a #2 but certainly isn't worth his contract numbers anymore. Stills is fine as #3. 4 = whoever. Moore and Meachem should be cut for cap space.

You are aware there are dozens of other college teams out there with WR's? LSU isn't the only school fielding prospects. And with their WR to NFL history, you may want to investigate some of the other guys.

I still think Colston was hampered by injuries his season.

I'm not a homer. ODB is fast, has great hands and he returns kicks. He does everything great

Yes, he brings speed and dangerous return abilities. Saints desperately need both.

SPEED. If a healthy Morgan and a rookie like Beckham are there, the WR is fixed. Adding a dangerous speed running back would also be a good idea (one of Sproles and Thomas have to go at a minimum due to salary and limited skills by age).

My wish list:

1. Maclin, Bolden, Cooper in FA (some combination of these 3)
2. Replacement for Sproles
3. Starting Khiry
4. New center and maybe right tackle

I think Maclin would be an excellent pickup

I think so too- especially the first half of the season for Colston. Sproles obviously did not have as good a season this year, but with one more year on his contract, I think the Saints will keep him, unless they draft a good playmaker.
