I saw some threads in the search but they were a few months old. Now that we are past legalization where do you think this is going? It looks like GW pharm took a nice jump. I'm starting to think that there will be a bubble similar, but not as big, as the tech bubble. People buying whatever stock is associated with it and buying complete crap for the most part.

A lot of smoke to sift through but no telling how high they can get.

Ask some buds about it.

Marijuana Stocks are primarily penny stocks right now. With Colorado beginning to sell recreational marijuana on January 1, the stocks soared 200%-400% in a few days based upon that and not any actual company news. The stocks have since plummeted and will probably continue to fall. If you really wanted to gamble on these penny stocks, my suggestion would be to wait until April/May, buy when they are all really low, and then sell in June when the state of Washington begins selling marijuana recreationally.

Didn't know about Washington. I thought about getting a couple penny stocks with some money that I don't care about losing. I looked up GW Pharm and they were up $41 per share.

No definitive date for Washington yet, but supposed to be some time in June. All the penny stocks follow marijuana news. The increased dramatically when Colorado and Washington voted to legalize a year ago, increased again when Colorado began selling, so I assume the same pattern will occur with Washington.

Definitely seems like a play money type of investment. Hit a profit and take what you got and don't complain.

I saw this article about banks not dealing with pot dealers for fear that fedgov bank regulators might shut them down for aiding and abetting federal criminals.

After all, pot is still against federal law.

So, why should a regulated stock exchange feel comfortable trading their shares?

Banks reject pot $$$

The federal gov't will just keep that law in their back pocket at this point. Run your dispensary on the straight and narrow and you should be fine. The amount of money coming in is changing attitudes pretty quickly.
