Anybody ever fished this lake ? There's a launch at the end of the road from Loreauville but didn't see any activity.
Was out there recently and am curious.

I know it's beautiful. Never fished it. I haven't heard of much success other than bream.

never had much luck in the main lake or around the state park
what we have been doing now is going across the levee and fishing bayou benoit...the launch is a couple miles before the state park if you coming from loureville/st. martinville
even then though we have had very limited success if your looking for bass.....mainly catfish, perch, and sacalait

Fish there often. Caught 24 sac a lait early dec. caught 20 catfish the other day. Hit and miss on sac a lait. Got to know where to go. Catfish around the cypress trees in the lake. I live only a few miles away.
