I have a few friends trying to cajole me into playing 'Rust' with them on my computer. Have any of y'all purchased and/or played it, and if so, what are your opinions?

It has the "DayZ" feeling to me.

Is it 1st person only? Or can you toggle 3rd person like dayz?

first person only from what I've seen. but I've had no impetus to try to change into 3rd person

Been playing this game for about a week and really liking it. I like it better than Dayz. I like being able to craft a fricken rifle based on my gathering of resources. Anyone can succeed if you just put in the work. Unlike Dayz where it's a crap shoot on getting gear.
It's also nice how you can build a shelter. It's a strange feeling at night when you hear some one walk up to your shack not knowing what's going on outside, But not willing to open your door to find out.
But when you die you start all over. Naked with a fricken rock
