What do you think would be a fair price for
new 2013 model Ford 150 XLT Crewcab with options,
list price $39500?

What kind of options?

I would say no more than $26500 though based on the deal I got on my FX2 a little over a year ago.

Find the same truck on Mac haik's website (Houston dealer) and go by their internet price

Usually a good idea of a bottom line price.

eta: here is something with about the same MSRP

usually the incentives/rebates in houston are the same across the south, but not necessarily

to get the best price, you will need to be trading in a vehicle, and you will need to finance with Ford Motor Credit....though you do not have to keep your loan with them if you don't want to

FYI Xplan is 200 below invoice requires no negotiation and makes your life easy.

No, it's more like invoice plus 1%

Eta: 0.4% I think is what it actually is

Ok…..Croaka knows……..get an x plan # and incentives can be added to that price…..My Uncle works for Hub City….this is how we buy all our trucks.

But you can regularly get below invoice before rebates with simple negotiations

Now if you can get a ford A or D plan, it will be below invoice but those are reserved for employees I believe

You're telling me I can go to Mac haik (I live in Houston) and get a loaded 2013 F150 supercrew lariat for 29000?

I got a loaded 2012 FX2 in Sept 2012 from AutoNation in Katy for $29,300. Sticker price was $43,xxx.

My truck has everything a Lariat has: heated and cooled power leather seats, power fold mirrors, power everything, remote start, back up cam, 20 in wheels, etc.

I bought a 2013 XLT screw 4x4 off-road package, wheel and tire package, 302A package just before christmas. Sticker was $40k and they came down to $34k. after trade-in and TTL, i left with the truck for $12k

Mac haik is the correct answer. No haggling and a very fair price. I drove over there last month and bought a king ranch 4x4. 41,899 just like they advertised. Everything was easy and smooth. Highly recommend them.

Well, the pic I posted is of an xlt

Lariat will be a bit more, and that's also a 2wd if that matters

Another used car thread... Great time for me to jump in.

Anyone have the hookup on used Audis

Know anyone at an Audi dealer that can give some insight on pricing and the likes?

Since this kind of thing has become the norm, wouldn't they sell more of them by simply lowering the price a few thousand. Seems it would drive more sales to simply have a lower sticker price.

There cant' be that many people who pay sticker or close to it.

I don't think so. People like feeling like they got a good deal. Being able to say "I got $12,000 off on my truck" sounds better than paying a lower sticker price.

It's the American way. We like to haggle and manufacturers factor it into their prices.

The funny thing is what it does to the used values of domestic trucks. Look through some classifieds for 2012 used trucks. They're usually as expensive as a new one bought at a "good deal." It's because KBB & NADA base their values on MSRP, which have no bearing on transaction price. I wonder how any of them sell.
