the offensive line, not necessarily who plays QB.

If we have a dominant O-line next year, we should have a monster running game.
Hill and Magee are proven commodities. Then you throw in the best prep player in the nation in Fournette and the 2nd best running back in Louisiana in Williams.

However, we will still have to be able to throw the ball to set up the run and prevent 11-in the box defenses against us.
If Jennings/Rettig/Harris can get some semblance of familiarity and consistency with all our young talented wide receivers and tight ends (and they should with Cameron's tutelage), the 2014 and beyond LSU offenses will be scary good.

But it all starts with a huge, athletic, powerful offensive line.

While I agree with what you are saying, DT is going to be the biggest key to our success next year.

Jennings(or Harris) ability to make quick reads and understand what the defense is doing. Also getting that internal clock fixed so he isn't pulling a JJ and holding the ball for 10 seconds until finally getting sacked

running game will be fine and defense should be improved, at least on the back end.

we need a decent passing game.

I think defense will be fine. Dlne can't be worse than it was this year, and linebacking play should be improved. Welter looked better in bowl game and the new kid from Illinois really looks good - looks big enough to start taking snaps as well. Secondary will be really good and DE should be well manned.

with our running threat, and Cam working with the offense, I look for a good team. we could and should challenge. way too early to predict a championship, but you never know what you got till you see it mature on the field.

Plus, I think this team was developing chemistry at the end of the year, and I expect that to carry over.

If Hill, Collins, and Turner return next year, AJ will have a monster year. That takes SOOOOO much pressure off of him.

Wonder how long it will take Harris to adjust to the "SPEED" of the college game? I have never seen the kid play but it is big difference. I hope he comes in and flourishes. We will need the O-Line to be top of game for whomever the QB will be. Already looking forward to first game......

If we get Collins and Turner back, our OL will be one of the best in the country. Combined with one of the best (if not the best) backfield, LSU will have a monster ground attack.

I think the key to 2014 will be the DL, especially DT. Rasco and Hunter should be quality DEs. Both showed flashes of what could be solid playmakers. One of our biggest problems last season was that the defense was just getting gashed by the running game. In our three losses against GA, Bama and OM, we gave up 205, 213 and 197 yards on the ground, respectively.

After the GA game, I recall seeing a stat that GA had gained more than 150 yards rushing before contact. Hopefully, these young DTs will put in the work between now and next season to improve the position.
