Headed to campus early before the LSU - TN game and want to get some seafood and gumbo close to campus. I'll be on the north side of campus, been to The Chimes a bunch, and rather not cross over to Walk-On's or Mike Anderson's.

Anything on the north side near the old University Shopping Center area? (I know, I've shown my age).....Rocco's have gumbo? anything else near BWW?

Hell bro you really don't keep up with the area much. Roccos or where Roccos was is a hole in the ground from Chimes St. through the Mickey D site. Alternatives to the Chimes do not exist.

Chimes might be your best bet if you don't want to go much further than off campus...Perkins overpass area opens up some options for you, however

I always thought Georges under the overpass had a great chicken and sausage Gumbo. I used to call and ask when they made it so I could get it on the second or third day.

Cup of Gumbo and a cheeseburger at Georges... One of my favorite BR meals.
