Just a heads up for those interested, if you purchase tickets before Jan. 14th, the grand tasting is $79 and the Royal Street Stroll is $69.

Not really. Tons of wine to sample and a little food.
It's been a while since I attended, but it was always a good time.

Is the Grand Tasting worth the $87 entry fee?

Seems cool I just wondering if anyone here has been to this festival recently....

It's alot of wine and I guess 20 to 30 stations of chefs cooking and passing out food samples.
I think with the discount, it is def. worth it.
I think the regular priced ticket is now around $100.

Royal St. Stroll?

It's usually hot and has become too crowded, imo. But, then again, my tolerance level isn't that high these days.

Do they both have equal amounts of food and drink vendors?

Actually, they're kind of different. At least they were last time I went. The "stroll" is more about walking along Royal Street, sipping and socializing and doesn't have as much food it seems to me. The other event is indoors and actually more conducive to food tasting (as well as wine, of course).
