Let’s focus on Wisconsin. Who do they have returning? Who are they losing?

I work with a guy that played football for Wisconsin a few years ago and he has already become insufferable. We’re going to the game together next year now as well. We have to win.
Anyways, I know USCe brought it to them pretty good. Who are they returning? Who are they losing? What does their recruiting class look like and will it have an impact on next year?
(yes, we can talk about this and basketball)

They don't recruit well, but they follow the Nebraska rule of thumb in regards to offensive linemen. Redshirt, and start your RS Soph/Junior year.
They always have a good offensive line, and Melvin Gordon is one of the best RBs in the country.

Some wisky clown on here last night said they lose their entire front seven. Didn't verify that but that would be a blow.
They return Gordon but lose White at RB. This poster also mentioned a true frosh perhaps replacing stave, who will be a jr at QB.
If true about their front seven, they are in trouble, especially in the first game.

Long time since i have seen LSU lose one of these big openers.....Just saying. With our line in tact and Hill/Fournette?......Game over.

Some clown made an account and posted that they are losing their front 7.. He then predicted a Wisconsin victory.

Depth Chart
All 4 defensive linemen are seniors
2 out of the 3 LBs are seniors
Starting strong safety is a senior
Thank god Abbrederis(WR) is leaving, he's a beast. James White is a monster as well, seems like he has been at Wisconsin forever.
Unless they have some declaring early, they will have 4/5 starting offensive linemen returning.

They lose a lot on defense, although I don't how much that's saying. They were shredded by SC. They return Gordon but lose White. They're losing a very good possession receiver in Abbrederis and a couple of tight ends. The QB (Stave) will be an experienced junior. I think you can take it for granted that the offensive line will be better than average.

They had a decent offense this season, but like always, they are run first. A very good stable of running back and a good offensive line lead the way. Their best wideout, Jarred Abberderis, is a senior so that will be a blow. Idk who they have in the wings waiting but Abberderis was really the only wideout I noticed from the past few seasons. Their starting QB most of this season (when not hurt) was Joel Stave. He was good but nothing to write home about. Overall, I expect a similar team to Iowa, but a lot better all around.

Co-worker just told me he's no longer going.
Damn. Well, whatever.

Unless Wisky finds a passing game, LSU wins this one. A killer running game and lights out secondary will be enought to beat them.

Badger fan here. I read this board pretty much daily. Good place.
Next year will be a bit of a transition year for Bucky. We will be ranked, but probably a bit higher than is warranted.
We return the QB, FB, our top TB and 4/5 on the OL and our #2 wr.
Offensively we should have a good rushing attack with our returning TB and OL. TE depth is good and won't drop too much. Our issue is QB and WR. Most want a different QB. Stave was super inconsistent this season. Our WR's are probably the worst in D1 since Abby is graduating. So we will be relying on some incoming frosh to help infuse the wr core with talent.
Defensively we lose 6 out of the front 7 and we return 3/4 in the secondary. This is bad news because we were tough vs the run and poor vs the pass all year. Our DC is implementing more of an attacking defense and the new pieces may be more athletic than the past, but they will be raw.
We are bringing in a scholarship kicker for next season to help on field goals. Our return game produced a TD vs USC and covered very well.
Bottom line is I expect LSU to win this one pretty handily if you are returning what you say on the offensive line and at TB. Run against our new front 7. Your strength vs our new group. Offensively we will run the ball. If you stack the box and force us to throw we have no proven answer currently.
I would say 31-17 LSU. Truth is that in game 1 with our new coach that I don't know exactly what to expect.
I think these 2 fan bases should get along well. Both like to party. If this was a home and home, the tailgating would be epic. Really epic. Hope UW fans represent well in Houston, but its not that appealing despite the opponent.

I hear this guy is out of eligibility, but might be in the building...
We need to make sure he doesn't slip on a uniform and we should be fine!
