I have lime, lemon, and satsuma trees, will wrapping the base help anything? Or will they be ok regardless? I've covered them in previous years and they've been ok, but they were much smaller then.

ur probably going to lose a lot of limbs at the least. i have used light bulbs, at least it saved some of the tree. try everything, it is not only gonna b colded, its a substained cold.

I lost my small Satsuma tree a month or so ago during a hard freeze. I had it covered with blankets. I would think the younger trees are in trouble tonight no matter what you do.

Wrap the base on bigger trees. As long as it doesn't split, losing a few (or even many) branches shouldn't kill it.
I just pile up mulch as high as I can. Navel, satsuma, louisiana sweet, and Persian lime survived this way in Jan. of 2010 when it was below freezing for 9 nights here. The lime was hardest hit but fine a year later.
