With all that has happened (and not happened) in the past few days; i was wondering who are we ending this class with? Are we revisiting kids like Ramirez, blacknall etc. the last thing i thought about this 2014 class was that we'll be hard pressed to sign a full class. Now it seems we make take some kids that werent takes before. can some enlighten me on who our 'achievable' targets are?

No one says we HAVE to take 25, and most think we won't this year and settle for something like 23. Just means we have to go through less attrition before next season

Take 180 from Shreveport to Las Cruces, New Mexico, then go North.

unfortunetly that link doesnt give any useful info. hence the reason for me starting a thread - which still gives no insight

Get Adoree
Finish Valentine flip
Flip Speaks
Convince Kenny to stay in-state
Get Malachi Dupre
Convince Lorenzo Carter to come here
Flip Nacho
Tell Chad Thomas he will have a new coach year after next
Or sign promising potential WR like Holland
There's 8. Chances of happening? Slim to none, but it can happen

We may not sign 25.
There are still big fish out there and yes, we may revisit some recruits or flip one or two. Anything can happen.

What the frick? Are you serious? It absolutely does give useful info, that's why it's the top stickied thread on this damn board. All you have to do is learn how to read and that thread will solve all your questions you have.

looking at the bright side, if you guys don't fill the class this year there will be that many more spots open for next year's class.

Yeah you're right. 2015 is going to be another really really good class too.

Let me give this poor guy or girl some help
Now, we usually have much better chances with uncommitted targets, rather than trying to switch committed ones, but the staff is going to amp up pressure to fill this class with exceptional talent. Valentine and Speaks are or were committed to other schools, and they are not quite ready to give up the Karr duo, mainly Willis. Also keep an eye on TAMU commit Frank Iheanacho
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Look for Iheanacho's decommitment down the road, with a nod to LSU highly likely. The announcement he made Saturday was to appease the U.S. Army All-American Bowl folks and honor his word that he would declare during the game. His mind is far from made up, sources said. LSU is fully aware of the situation and won't stop recruiting Iheanacho.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, expect some names to come out of left field. Sleeper prospects with spectacular senior seasons or real potential, like the OT recruits Kelly and Rodriguez. WRs George Rushing and Melvin Holland Jr, Athletes Russell Gage and Santos Ramirez, to name a few.

2015 in-state class is nowhere near the depth and level of talent of this year's in-state class.
Oddly enough, this could be a good thing for us. I'm actually looking forward to not having a ton of top level talent in state that we have to wrap up.
Next year's class might be the broadest one ever in terms of recruits' homes.

Fine by me- I hate when we 'reach' on someone that has little to no chance to see the field other than practice. I would rather it go to a deserving walk on. Besides, right now, we already have a very solid class from top to bottom, and if we can get Valentine & Jackson, would exceed my expectations!
