What a giant waste of time. Anyone else agree or am I in the minority on this one?

Compared to the first one, it was a horrible film. Compared to general comedy fare it was.... less than average.

I haven't seen it yet, but I heard it was basically a repeat of the 1st film.

Anchorman is one of those films that needs time and multiple repeat viewings in order to fully appreciate it. It honestly took a few years and multiple viewings of the first one to really appreciate it. I'd say the hardest I've ever laughed at either movies though was the Dobby song.

I liked it, but I didn't love it. I'm willing to give the repeat viewings a big chance, since I don't think they cared about the big screen experience, but how long it will last on DVD.

It took a few viewings for me to like the first one and it took 1000s of animated gifs and memes for the true greatness of the first one to shine.

I think expectations for the second one are probably too high. I mean, it isn't like the first one had ANY plot.

I've held off on watching 2 because i know there is just no way it will live up to the first one.

I thought it was terrible. It had no story really. Just a bunch of stuff happened. And everyone tried to hard to be funny.

I was also really high though so who knows

Looks so bad from the previews doubt I'll ever waste my time. Just not my kind of movie.

Sounds exactly like the first one.

It was surprisingly good. Not a repeat of the first one either, other than one scene and a few returning characters.

The first half was really good. A bunch of good lines. The second half dragged and was too over the top. Overall, I enjoyed it.

I thought where it fell short was trying to much to have solo scenes with some of the characters. Lots of scenes with just Ron and lots of story about Brick, who's supposed to be a small doses character. The first one was great with its interactions between the news team, and this one seemed to miss that for long periods of time.

And it obviously was never going to have a good plot, but it did seem like there was no logical order to it... seemed more like random scenes spliced together.

Definitely needs multiple viewings in order to ease up on the expectations and just enjoy it for what it is -- mindless humor

I thought the first one was hysterical from the first scene. It was right on the money with its goal.

I felt this one tried way too hard.

Not just the same jokes rehashed like the Austin Powers sequels.

Felt that way to me too. The one-liners seemed forced and didn't feel as natural. I noticed myself laughing way more when it seemed like they were shooting the shite and improvising. I guess it felt too much like it was "scripted" and not just letting those guys screw around

Seems like everybody I talked to hated it.

It was basically Anchorman 1 but replaced the bear with a shark.

I liked it though. I killed over laughing at the racist dinner scene.
