I love college baseball, I really do.

But these bats combined with the college ball have sucked most of the fun out of the game. Cant wait till the new balls are introduced. Should have been this year after the miserable Omaha years recently.

It's not so bad during the regular season and regionals when we're at the box. It's when we get to the abomination that is td ameritrade that the wind just gets sucked right out of the sails. Watching highlights of the blatt give any fan chills. Even purist fans fall asleep watching the games at td ameritrade

Do you know anything about tickets?

When will SLU put them on sale?

Players were working out and doing things last week on individual basis - no on field coaching allowed.

As a college baseball player, I have to say the bats really do make a difference, but at the same time they aren't taking away that many homeruns. Our field has the same dimensions as Alex box and there's really nothing that can take away the long ball. We use the new Rawlings bbcor bats and we have no problem hitting the long ball. LSU players will tell you as well that if you hit the ball right, it's gonna fly.

Yeah, because it isn't the type of baseball that a "purist" or a casual baseball fan can enjoy. I LOVE legit pitchers duels with great pitching and defense. That's not what the college game is now (though Nola is still very fun to watch IMO). It's "throw it over the plate because there's no way it'll be a home run and hope your guy doesn't make an error."

That's mostly in reference to how the game is in bigger parks (see Hoover Met and TD Ameritrade), but I think it rings true to an extent all the way accross the board.

Don't kid yourself, the bats in use today limit homeruns by a bunch. I have watched a former first round draft pick hit with wood, the old bat he used when he played, and the bats they use now. Even the wood flies much better.
