I have to go to Mobile, AL for a 3 day trip for work. I have heard horror stories concerning the place. Trashy town, trashy people, dirty restaurants, horrible crime, etc.

Can anyone give me their past experience?

It's a town that sure thinks it hung the moon. That said, it has some beautiful women.

It has an uppity area (springhill), a mildly uppity area mixed with hood (midtown), a normal area with ballers scattered (west mobile), trashy areas (semmes, saraland), and hoods (Crichton, Prichard).

Tell me what you want out of the weekend and I will tell you where to go.

You're right. Cheesy would be a better term.

A coworker of mine told me that every bar in downtown is 18 and up trash, but there was a nice spot in the West of Mobile called the Martini or something like that. She said I would love the talent of women in there.

She also told me of a cool seafood spot that starts with a "W" on the Airport Road, but other than that she said the town is about 20 years behind times and that Mobile is very rednecky and thuggish.

She was telling me that she had to get gas at a local gas station at night and she was scared to death while standing out there pumping her gas.

That can't happen anywhere else, can it?

Just go to Fairhope if you are that worried.
